Sharing Library

Some people may have noticed a new addition to the park located at the corner of Knoll’s Creek Drive and Casablanca Street. Stationed next to the play structure, there is now a Little Library bookshelf!
With help from the Wendt Ranch Homeowners Association, Alice Jiang, Marisa Ignacio, and Kayla Chew, three members of Girl Scout Troop 31207, worked together to bring to the community an easily accessible small roofed bookshelf. The Little Library is available to anyone wanting to take a book home to read, or simply sit down with a book on the adjacent benches, enjoying the sunshine.
Housing an array of books for any age range, the bookshelf is perfect for anyone wanting to absorb themselves into a story, or find out more about our world. The motto for this library is, “Take A Book, Leave A Book.” For every book that you take home with you, we ask that you leave one in return, so that our library can continue to grow and develop, leaving with more knowledge than it started with.
With our technology packed, frantically paced modern world, some people may have left behind the knowledge stored in traditional paper books, or simply not have enough time to make another trip to the large libraries nearby. With the addition of the Little Library, we hope that more people will be able to grab a book and make yet another journey to the land of stories. Authors: Alice Jiang, Marisa Ignacio, Kayla Chew
